Holy shit, I have followers? How'd that happen? Well, guess I'd better explain myself. First of all, I totally don't know how to work tumblr and it shows.

I got here by finding a few really funny blogs, like STFU blogs and LGBT Laughs. Then I found some lovely political blogs too. There were just too many to remember so I figured I'd get a tumblr to follow them and keep track of it all. Then I discovered that tumblr is a pretty dirty-minded place and found some lovely porn blogs. So here I am, mostly lurking, following equal parts porn, politics and funny stuff.

I initially never planned to actually post on a blog, just planned on lurking, but I figured this is as good a place as any to post all the stuff I can't say in polite company since I don't know anyone on here.

About me: I am 22, female, pansexual (I love everybody), submissive, masochistic, in a sort of open relationship with an awesome guy, a liberal, an atheist, a wage slave, a college drop out (twice!), and I'm all about having fun and living in the moment.

Why do they think ‘fat dyke’ is an insult? To me, it means… I’m gonna eat fried chicken and pussy. That’s why I brought wet naps.

Though no one would ever think of using the term honor violence (we reserve that descriptor for brown people who live somewhere else, motivated by religious something-or-other or tribal something-or-other), one-third of women murdered every year in the United States are killed by their intimate partners. In 2005 that amounted to 1,181 women, or three women every day. To put that in perspective, the UN estimates there are 5,000 honor killings every year in the entire world. 5,000 in a world of 6 billion versus nearly 1,200 in a single country of 300 million. In other words, a woman in America runs a greater risk of being killed by her husband or boyfriend than a woman in Pakistan.

Let me reiterate that for you all …

A woman in America runs a greater risk of being killed by her husband or boyfriend than a woman in Pakistan.

I think you’ve missed a crutial point though, let me point it out:

I’m going to go ahead and guess that more men are killed by their wives or girlfriends in the United States than in Pakistan, considering women commit quite a few domestic murders in the united states each year.

The point is that we think of the Middle East as a terrible place for women with oppressive laws and honor killings, when the truth is that technically it’s more dangerous to be a woman here.

LGBT Laughs: Queer Dictators →

lgbtlaughs:

A few days ago in Brazil, a tweet hashtag, #ditaduragay, was raised to the Twitter trending topics. “Ditatura gay” means “gay dictatorship” and is a common term in Brazil for “omg, I’m so oppressed because they won’t let me be horribly homophobic”.

Nevertheless, in spite of the fact that hashtag…

The institution of marriage is not under attack as a result of the President’s words. Marriage was under attack years ago by men who viewed women as property and children as trophies of sexual prowess. Marriage is under attack by low wages, high incarceration, unfair tax policy, unemployment, and lack of education. Marriage is under attack by clergy who proclaim monogamy yet think nothing of stepping outside the bonds of marriage to have multiple affairs with “preaching groupies.
